CORALMUNDI Book
On this page I publish a choice of my poems
Real Dreams
If dreams seem real
While you are dreaming,
How can you be sure
That reality is not a dream?
Corinne Alexy
Whilst CORALIBRI Creative and CORALIBRI Books represent more the craftsmanship and commercial side of book production, CORAL-CAMENA Poetry stands for the lyrical-literary part of this task.
The Poems
Besides prose I also write aphorisms, poetic texts, short stories and poems.
In the section of fiction the work on a fantasy novel is in progress. The contents of it I do, of course, not wish to give away online before publication.
To introduce some of my poems to you, however, CORAL-CAMENA Poetry is, in my view, a very suitable setting.
Enjoy reading!
A Short Explanation of Page Structure, Abbreviations and Photographs
Beside each poem is a section with information and comments on the respective poem. (If you are not interested: just skip the section and do not read it).
The originals of my poems I sometimes write in English, sometimes in German. A strict or rough translation (if a text is to rhyme, it can often not be translated word-for-word, but only analogously), be it English/German or German/English, I do myself, because, after all, I know best how my original text is to be interpreted and my own strict or rough translation corresponds then to just that meaning.
In the information section an abbreviation is assigned to each of the poems, which tells you, if an original poem was written in English or in German and whether there is a translation available.
Key to Abbreviations
O-E/T-G: Original English / Translation into German available.
O-G/T-E: Original German / You see the translation into English here.

Some of the poems have a photograph as background. These photographs have been taken and edited by me and the design of background and text was also created by me.

O-E/T-G
Written: Summer 2006 in English in Schorndorf / Germany. Translation into German in 2007.

Fearless in Love
O-E/T-G
Written: Winter 2007 in English in Schorndorf / Germany. Translation into German in 2008.
Comment: I wrote "Fearless in Love" when I realized, after talking with a friend about being single and having to face all problems alone versus being in a long-lasting relationship and having to take somebody else's wishes and needs into consideration before every step, that there is more than one kind and definition of courage in this world.
God's Seat
O-E/T-G
Written: Autumn 2007 in English in Grossheppach and Schorndorf / Germany. Translation into German in 2010.
Comment: "God's Seat" was written on a hike to one of my favourite vantage points. When I was there, I wished I could share the view with my absent sweetheart and put this desire into words.
Moonlight
O-E/T-G
Written: Summer 2008 in English in Schorndorf / Germany. Translation into German in 2009.
Comment: I wrote "Moonlight" in memory of a long gone, wonderful night that my then-boyfriend and I had spent at a lake near our former domicile.
Ocean Eyes II
O-E
Written: The original version, "Ocean Eyes", was written in November 1986 in English in Schorndorf / Germany. This second version, basing on the first one, was written in September 2020 in Goeppingen / Germany.
Comment: "Ocean Eyes" are thoughts I had when I had met a new man in my life.
The Forgotten

Comment: "The Forgotten" was created in a sleepless, beautiful starry night.
The Swordsman
O-E/T-G
Written: Spring 2010 in English in Schorndorf / Germany. Translation into German in 2019 in Winterbach / Germany.
Comment: "The Swordsman" was written after a mysterious, "heroic" dream, when I was in a melancholy, King-Arthurish mood when I woke up.
Truth
O-E/T-G
Written: Autumn 2006 in English in Schorndorf / Germany. Translation into German in 2009.
Comment: Deep in philosophical thoughts, the inspiration for "Truth" came and only needed to be written down.
Wolftown
O-E/T-G
Written: Spring 2009 in English in Schorndorf / Germany. Translation into German in 2010.
Comment: Just like anybody else I have my dark sides, too. "Wolftown" is one of the more harmless representatives from these Nightmare-Worlds.
